ALEX CARUSO

About Alex

Professional basketball player Alex Caruso is no stranger to working hard. Now an integral member of the Chicago Bulls with an NBA Championship under his belt as a member of the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers, there was a moment when it seemed Alex’s professional career was over before it began. In college, the Texas A&M star finished as the school’s all-time leader in assists (649) and steals (276), earning a spot on the SEC All-Defensive Team. But after graduation, Alex went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, forcing the point guard to pursue his dream down less traditional paths. For the next two years, Alex threw himself into the NBA Summer and Developmental Leagues, eventually earning the attention of the Oklahoma City Thunder and later the Los Angeles Lakers. Because of his work ethic, versatility, hustle, and ability to make big defensive plays, Alex became the first player to go from the NBA Developmental G League directly to the NBA by means of a two-way contract.
